Biography

I'm currently a research student at Coventry University, as part of the Cogent Computing Applied Research Centre. I'm pursuing my PhD under the guidance of Dr. Elena Gaura. I graduated from Coventry University in 2005, with a First Class BSc (Hons) Degree in Computer Science.

I have spent close to one year (in total) of my PhD studies at the Center for Embedded Networked Sensing (CENS) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where I was supervised by Prof. Deborah Estrin   (at UCLA) and Dr. Lewis Girod (at MIT). In the summer of 2006, I did an internship at CENS and throughout 2007 I was a visiting exchange student and staff research associate (also at CENS).

I will be starting as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Centre for Environmental Sensing and Modelling (CENSAM ) which is part of the Singapore MiT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART). SMART and CENSAM are based at the National University of Singapore.

I am joining a project led by Prof. Andrew Whittle (Civil Engineering, MiT), entitled "Wireless Sensor Networks for Continuous Monitoring of Water Distribution Systems". The aims of the project are: 'to develop generic wireless sensor network capabilities to enable real time monitoring of a water distribution network. More details are available at the project website.
